Nestled on the quiet rue Serpente, which inspired Honore de Balzac for his novel "Illusions Perdues", this completely renovated flat of 80 m2 has the charm of the old as well as the convenience of modern amenities. Subtle colors, designer light fixtures all around, plenty of cabinets.

The Seine river is located steps away, stunning Fontaine Saint Michel, Sainte Chapelle and Notre Dame and nearby, as well as the lively neighborhoods of Odeon and St Germain des Pres.

The high ceilings, high french windows, and white washed exposed beams, as well as a delicate green on the entrance walls give a sense of warmth. Leading you to the right where you find the dining and living area, bookshelves in the tones of grey and light oak accents, white kitchen with light oaks shelves.

This charming flat offers two bedrooms, one bathroom with a bath and toilet, one bathroom with a shower and a powder room with a sink.

The off white/light beige master bedroom has a queen size bed and plenty of closets and leads to the full bathroom with a view of the courtyard. The light teal second bedroom has a full size bed and lots of built-ins and is situated near the living room with a view of quiet rue Serpente.

A separate closet offers a washer and dryer.

"Wonderful apartment and great service"

We rented this apartment for two weeks in October. First, the Paris for Rent rental agency was wonderful to work with and made renting a Paris apartment a breeze. We have been to Paris many times but previously not rented an apartment. This apartment is in the heart of the 6th Arrondissement and the location is wonderful. Our grown daughter and a friend visited us while we were there. We used the chauffeur service for getting to and from the airport. It was wonderful and for anyone who has used the normal airport taxi services, this chauffeur service is money well spent. We were met at the apartment by one of the Paris for Rent coordinators who did an excellent job orienting us to the apartment and explaining how everything works. As for the apartment itself, let me say that it is VERY sophistically decorated with wonderful fabrics, antiques and modern conveniences. It is located in a small, secure building. The kitchen is very convenient and we used it often, although mainly the refrigerator, the microwave and the Nespresso coffee maker. It had all the utensils that we needed. The apartment is on two floors, with the main bedroom and bath on the lower level. The bath is wonderful and very convenient. Next to the bath on the lower level is a washer-dryer which we used with no problems. There is one flat screen TV which is in the lower level but you probably won't be using it that much, if you really like Paris! The bed linens are wonderful, especially the duvets (we use a duvet at home). The king bed is flat and the mattress is very firm. The wi-fi worked well and free phone calls to land lines in the states was appreciated. Pros: location, sophistication of the decor, modern conveniences, great (but small) kitchen and wonderful bath with fantastic shower, secure building and apartment, a delightful place to rest after a fun day in Paris, very near some great restaurants and shopping areas, walkable to most places in central Paris and there are good bus connections and metros very nearby. Cons: So sophisticated that it is probably not for small children or even rambunctious pre-teens, street is narrow and very busy with cars and can be loud if one is a light sleeper, not air-conditioned so may be hot in the summer (we were there in October and it was not a problem), narrow, curvy stairs up two flights (no elevator), small spaces for storing lots of luggage.

This is the perfect place to stay in Paris

This apartment was perfect for my family. The location was a block From the Seine. Only a 5 min walk to the Louvre or to the St. Germain church and shopping area. Great neighborhood restaurants, galleries, and stores. I can't imagine returning to Paris and staying somewhere else that would offer the wonderful accommodations and location. "Lovely apt, perfect location, helpful and responsive support"

My family of four loved our stay in this beautiful apartment. The decoration is lovely, the separation of the two suites affords privacy, and the common areas offer plenty of room yet still feel intimate. The washer/dryer was a helpful convenience, especially since the weather was so hot the week we were there. Our greeter was very helpful with the one question we had. Even my teenage daughters felt it was no hardship to take a break from our sightseeing to stay in the apartment because they enjoyed it so much.
