Ideal location; near-perfect amenities

One of the best-equipped and supplied apartments I've ever rented in Paris. Unfortunately for our dodgy knees, the elevator was out of commission for most of our stay but when it did work, this fifth floor apartment was easily accessible. Two modern baths with a half bath near the living room made this a good choice for two couples. The comfortable bedrooms (up on the sixth floor) are air-conditioned as is the main floor (living room/dining/kitchen). The deck overlooking the Madeleine church and square was enjoyed by all. The furnishings and art are not your standard large box store but really quite interesting. Having a metro stop right around the corner made the entire city immediately accessible, though there was much that we enjoyed walking to from such a central area.

The Madeleine apartment is just as bright and beautiful as advertised by the photos and description. The location is central -- walking distance to the Louvre, Grand Palais, Musee d'Orsay and so many other sites -- and the view onto the Madeleine is nearly too good to be true. Despite its central location, and the general bustle of Paris, the apartment feels like a calm retreat where you can relax as if you were at home. One of the best features of the apartment was our agent, Pat Combrisson, whose thoughtful, truthful and conscientious advice helped me find the perfect place. She knows all of the apartments from personal viewings and can advise you too with experience and integrity.
