This two bedroom apartment is housed on three stories of an 18th-century townhouse. For its recent renovation the owner has crafted a unique and extravagant interior that showcases a solid design aesthetic as well as the owner’s interests in Oceanic and African art.
The main salon is a well-choreographed arrangement of art, color, and function. Comfortable heart-shaped seating cleverly draws the eye to a decorative slate fireplace with shelving and sculptural tribal art on either side. The room also showcases a several large works of contemporary African and Oceanic art along with unique tables and side chairs, large windows, and high ceilings with combination wood and slate flooring.
The dining room is breathtaking. It is a stand-alone example of modernist design with its custom-made table and chairs, which are artworks in and of themselves. Set against a spiral art deco staircase, amid sculptural works of art, the room is lit by accent lighting and a skylight that casts excellent shadows on this bold room.
In the kitchen, painted brick walls and a dark wood floor compliment the sleek stainless steel appliances and countertops. However, there is also a listed traditional French restaurant beneath this apartment, whose chef, upon request, will come upstairs and personally cook for you!
The master bedroom frames its queen-size bed with an original oil painting, dark wood flooring, two windows, and shelving with art, books, and a television. The queen-size bed can also be converted into two single beds if desired. An en suite bathroom features a rain-style shower, white tiled walls, a contemporary washbasin, heated towel rails, and WC.
The second bedroom has a queen-size bed and an additional single bed, which doubles as a long white couch. The room pairs two contemporary red chairs with a colorful painting and is lit up by an overhead skylight. The en suite bathroom has rain-style shower, sleek washbasin, WC, and heated towel rails.

“Outstanding!”
From the beginning of your stay to your departure you are given 5 star treatment. I had planned to stay at the Four Seasons, George the V. The experience at Eden was equal to if not better than George the V. The apartment is in the middle of a block with St Suplice Church on one end and the entrance to the Luxembourg Gardens on the other. The location is within walking distance of all forms of transportation. There are a variety of international restaurants also within walking distance.
