Recently renovated, this modern, compact (40 m2 or about 430 sq/ft) flat offers tall windows with wrought-iron banisters, hardwood floors, and new furniture. Entering from rue Bonaparte through a heavy wooden door protected by a code, you'll access the 3rd-floor apartment via a staircase (no elevator).

Past the flat's front door, a hallway entrance leads into the main living space with an open living room, dining space, and kitchen area. The living room offers a cozy sofa and armchair to seat 4 people comfortably facing a flat-screen TV. The sofa can also be used as a bed to accommodate 2 additional guests. A ceiling fan will keep the apartment ventilated during those hot summer nights.

The dining table will seat up to 4 guests next to an open kitchen with modern appliances: coffee maker, fridge/freezer, stove, microwave, etc. The kitchen also has a washer-dryer unit and an ironing board/iron.

The bedroom is compact, quiet, and cozy with a queen-size bed and a flat TV. A ceiling fan will keep the bedroom ventilated on warm nights.

The adjacent bathroom has a sink, a spacious shower stall, and a toilet. The shower stall is spacious and offers both a wide rain showerhead and a handheld shower head.

Highly recommend Bonaparte Retreat

My daughter & I stayed at the Bonaparte Retreat in St Germain des Prés. The place was in a quiet street but a stone's throw from all the wonderful cafes and amenities of Paris. The apartment itself was totally renovated with modern appliances and furnishings so it was very comfortable. However, for Americans like us, be ready for no-AC in the summer months, as is typical of Paris and most of Europe. The remedy, besides ceilings fans and floor fans that the apartment was equipped with, is to open the windows. That provided a lot of relief, but without screens, mosquitoes came thru. Bring bug spray, etc. (or request portable ACs.) Otherwise, it was a lovely stay. Highly recommend it!
