Ideal Family Apartment in the Heart of Marais |
What our previous guests are saying about their stay:
Marais Picasso has a lot of character, charm and is very comfortable. Stays cool even when it's hot out!5
"We really enjoyed our time here! Our greeters were so kind and helpful. They walked us through using all the appliances, electronics and left a detailed book describing how to correct/resolve/assist any issue you might have including the embassy’s phone numbers and their favorite local restaurants.
There is a grocery store next door, a middle school down the street, Supreme clothing with around the clock security next door, and a cute little park for kids around the corner across from Pink Flamingo pizza and a great crepe place - both are excellent. Easy walk to museums - Louvre, Orsay, National Archives & Notre Dame. And lots of good shopping in the area. It’s safe, clean, and they have every amenity you could ask for!!!
They also have fans in all the rooms - I was worried about not having A/C but the building is solid limestone exterior and stayed cool, we did use the fans one night (this was late May/early June). It’s a very safe building and all the tenants we met were polite, quiet and respectful.
The building also had a cleaning crew who would mop the limestone steps inside the building, mop the hallways and clean it as well. The entire building is very clean. It does have character - the limestones steps are worn after hundreds of years of use. But it is well maintained. It’s also very quiet at night in this neighborhood. Lots of families, but also good for couples and groups.
The unit has 2 king beds with en-suite full bathrooms, 2 twins that can make a king, and a pull-out couch, 1/2 bath, living room, den, kitchen, laundry room, small exercise room. It is on multiple levels that would not be good for those with toddlers or people with trouble walking.
It does have English-speaking TV channels, along with other languages & great Wi-Fi. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook at home. It has a lot of character, charm and is very comfortable. "

Top location, comfortable and well equipped home, excellent greeting and local support! Will recommend to friends and return!5
"I can't say enough good things about our stay in this lovely apartment... It had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were comfy and the bathroom facilities were just fine for our group of 4 (and it was nice to have shampoos, conditioners, etc. for us).
Although we didn't cook any meals in the apartment, we took advantage of the coffee cups, wine glasses, and cheese plates!
Our introduction to the apartment by the greeters was so detailed and thorough... Both Kimmie and Mary were adorable and made us instantly feel at home - they gave such a thorough introduction to our neighborhood and apartment - they didn't miss a thing!
Although this was my 7th trip to Paris, it was the first time I have stayed in the Marais... and it is definitely my favorite! I loved the abundance of good restaurants near the apartment, and we quickly found our favorite local sources for cheese, wine, and croissants!!
I will definitely recommend Paris For Rent to all my friends traveling to Paris in the future... And I will certainly use you again myself... Perhaps as early as next spring!
Thanks for making our visit so comfortable."

Perfect for our group!5
"Bonjour à tous!
We enjoyed the apartment SO much! It was perfect for our group, and the location was formidable! We left both sets on keys on the little table by the door, and shut the door firmly.
Wonderful restaurant recommendations. We particularly enjoyed Chez Janou. We were paired with driver Guillaume for our night monument tour, a ride out to St. Germain-en-Laye and Normandy. What a nice guy, and so professional, with a sense of humor.
We will be recommending you to our friends, and plan to return again! Merci!"

Fantastic Family Get Away Apartment!!5
The Marais Picasso and Paris for Rent were awesome! Everything was as advertised--when we arrived, we simply called the greeter number, left a message and voila--when we got to the apartment, there was Leo waiting for us! He showed us around the perfectly located and perfectly appointed apartment. There was plenty of space, and every convenience you could think of. We made good use of the washer/dryer and kitchen. There was plenty of space for each of us to spread out after a long, long day of walking. With grocery stores and restaurants right out the door, we never needed to use the metro or anything other than our feet. Both Pat and Leo provided lots of vegan restaurant ideas for our daughter, and we were happy with everything recommended. The neighborhood is upscale and trendy, but our street, although right in the heart of the action, was quiet. Next time we visit Paris, we will definitely use Paris for Rent and stay in the Marais!

“A dream family vacation living like Parisians”5
What can I say about our Paris stay and the apartment? magical, fabulous, trip of a lifetime, etc, etc, etc. It was just a perfect place for my husband and me, our son and daughter-in-law and grandchildren. It felt like we were living like real Parisians, not as tourists. The location was so excelent. We could walk to everything. And the neighborhood would be where I would want to live if I were lucky enough to live in Paris full time. Old gracious building eith tond of character and lots of room.
The support from all involved with Paris for Rent was exceptional. Pat, our agent in California, was immediately responsive by phone or email. While we were in the apartment, Samantha and our handyman helper, were so responsive to all our needs. It was great to have the place be so well supplied with basics until we could get to a store.
I could go on and on, but will end here because I think you get the idea. We are in love with Paris for Rent and this apartment!! The grandchildren keep asking when we can go back.

“The perfect home base for a family adventure in Paris”5
The Marais Picasso is the ideal place to call home while in Paris, especially if you are traveling with your teenagers. The multi-level apartment has plenty of room to spread out. We enjoyed the well-appointed kitchen, which allowed us to have breakfast together and plan each day of sight-seeing. This was so much cozier and relaxing for our family than a hotel. Keep in mind that this is a very old 17th century building, so expect some quirkiness -- that was part of the charm for us. The neighborhood has cafes, fine dining, boutiques, museums, markets; plenty of things nearby to explore. Patrick from the Paris for Rent office was so helpful and professional, and promptly answered all of our questions as we planned our trip. Our local contact, Eleanor, was waiting for us at the apartment on the day we arrived. She showed us around the apartment to make sure we were comfortable with how everything worked. A superb experience all around!

"Fantastic!!!"5
Beautiful apartment, fantastic location, great trip. My husband, my two children (4 and 7), a babysitter and myself found the apartment to be super comfortable, perfect for families (two full bathrooms, one half bath), and so so charming. The kitchen is spacious and has everything you need, the living room is great, and the bedrooms are a good size. The building is old and charming. The neighborhood is great and busy but the street is super quiet. I wish we could buy the apartment and move to Paris!! Highly recommended for most (the interior stairs are small so the elderly might have a problem, my kids loved it though).

"Excellent apartment and great location"5
We had five adults on this trip and the apartment was perfect for our
group. The apartment had every appliance large and small that could be
needed, in addition to a large supply of linens. The washer and dryer
allowed us to pack less and do laundry as needed. The kitchen was
spacious and very well equipped. The bedrooms were also very spacious.
I have nothing negative to say about the accomdations. Frederic was
extremely helpful even when I made the mistake of calling him after
hours. The location was wonderful, close to the St. Paul metro station
on the # 1 line. The grocery store was just around the corner and we
found many excellent cafes close by. The street was quiet at night, and
everyone we ran into in the neighborhood was pleasant. I highly
recommend Paris for Rent and Patricia's help in finding an apartment
that was perfect for our needs. I will definately return to Paris and
will use their service again.
